With read aloud: EVERYTHING is possible

With a few minutes left in our school week, my 5th graders joined me on the carpet for a picture book read of Sam & Dave Dig a Hole. I showed them cover, and asked if any of them had read the book before. They all shook their heads no.

I couldn’t help but smile. This was going to be good.
