I've been reading...a lot
The first two weeks of summer break have been filled with a beach vacation and a whole lot of reading.
Our first week of break was spent at the Atlantic Ocean. It was so nice hanging out with the fam on the beach, reading lots of pages, and walking to dinner each night.
The last week spend at home has REALLY felt like summer break: early morning runs, reading almost a book-a-day, and a couple nights of bar trivia with my wife. I’m in heaven!
One of the things that has been eye opening, is how much I missed reading while rested. So much of my reading life during the school year is fighting to make it through a chapter without falling asleep. I think that I am really going to enjoy reading when I retire (if I ever retire!).
In the video below, I share some of the books I read at the end of the school year and so far this summer. I hope you can find a. book or two to add to your to-read list.
I added these books to my list of AWESOME new books!

Be sure to check out my lastest Kid Lit Book Mail video, too! I sort of stopped making these in May, and was just opening up packages as they were delivered. Oops!
Thank you so much for reading and subscribing to my newsletter. It means the world to me! I hope your summer is off to a great start (or that it is starting soon!).

Love that selfie with When You’re Brave Enough!!! 🌈😊
Good Morning Colby! Love Love Love your videos! I am a retired teacher. I have written 5 children's picture books that I can send if you would like. I really think you would like the book, The Day the Chicken's Took Over School. It is out on Amazon, and is getting some traction for a back to school book. I just need you to send me your address and I can mail them to you. maryspearman@gmail.com. I came to see you a few years ago in Greenville when you wrote the Creativity Project. I still love that book.
